We greet you in Jesus precious name. It is hard to believe that we have passed quarter of the year already; in fact, we are looking forward to Easter. This is my favourite time of the year, especially Easter Friday. If I had to sum up Easter Friday in one word, it would be giving. God gave His only begotten son and Jesus gave His life.
The Lord says that it is more blessed to give than to receive and that is what we are experiencing at Beth Hatlaim. For many years we have been watching our children grow and now they are starting to come into manhood and womanhood and this is so exciting for us to see. Three of our young men have already left Beth Hatlaim; they are growing into lovely young men and we thank God for them.
We also thank God for your prayer support. Please keep us in your prayers because we need lots of strength to finish strong.I am reading a book at the moment called ‘Half time’ by Bob Buford. In it he talks about life like a game of football where you have the first half and then the second half. He says the first half is all about working twelve hours a day, seven days a week chasing after your vision, it is about success. The second half is about significance, about putting into practice all the things you have learnt, about leaving your legacy. I want to tell you that there is nothing more exciting for me than to see God moving in these young children’s lives. St Augustine said we must work on what we would like to be written as an epitaph on our tombstone. I really believe that God wants us to mentor young people more, all of us, not just the team at Beth Hatlaim. It is something to invest in that has eternal value. Everything else will burn up and pass away but lives and souls will live forever.
Please continue to pray for us as we continue in the second half, adding significance to the lives of our young people at Beth Hatlaim.
Yours in Christ
Angus & Jill and the Beth Hatlaim team
