A Word for 2014

I do not believe in New Years resolutions, because we never seem to keep them.
However I do believe in asking God for a special scripture verse for the Year, one that I can hold onto.
A verse that will give me hope, vision and encouragement for the New Year!
You ask me the question, how does one obtain that verse?

The way I did it, was to come aside for a while, to pray, to meditate and then in the quietness, just allow our sweet Holy Spirit to speak into Your life. He will give You possibly a well known scripture, that maybe You haven’t remembered for a long time, or possibly one that a good friend has sent You, or even a scripture that is brought to mind in your systematic daily Bible reading.

The Word our Father has given to me for 2014 is Isaiah 64:4 –
For since the beginning of the World
Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear,
Nor has the eye seen any God besides You,
Who acts for the one who
Waits for Him.
[NKJ].

I am so excited for what this New Year has in store for You!
So go out there and take hold, with both hands, all that Jesus has prepared for You, by faith!
Spend lots of time with Him each day, and You will make few mistakes.

God Bless,
Angus.

David Livingstone, ( famous missionary to Africa ) said, “I will go anywhere as long as it is forward.”
