Fence Sitters

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

There is no place left for fence sitters any longer. The situation that we see ourselves involved in requires serious decision making and total commitment from every single follower of Jesus Christ. We can no longer remain indifferent to our circumstances.

I firmly believe God has chosen you and I for a time such as this (Esther 4: 14) and that we have a vital role to play in the destiny of this confused, depraved and desperate world in which we are living.

Jesus made it very clear that if we are not for Him, then we are most defiantly against Him. (Matthew 12:30)

I firmly believe that the sovereignty, and authenticity of God’s Holy Word, the Bible, is at stake in these last days. Folk have no fear or regard for God’s written instructions.

When we mess with the written Word of God then we mess with Jesus!

We have to become much more outspoken about God’s instructions to us through His Word. We can no longer turn a blind eye when nations, churches and even Christian leaders twist and change God’s Word to suit themselves. You and I have been called to be Watchmen. An effective Watchman tells the People when the enemy is coming, “we must blow the trumpet loud and clear”.

God Bless you. We will see you on the 19th November at the FNB Stadium when we shall blow the trumpet loud and crystal clear. There is lots of hope for this Nation if we quite simply get off the fence, then speak up!

Angus and Jill Buchan.

An Open Letter from Dr. Arno van Niekerk.

My dear fellow believer in Jesus Christ,

We need a Godly intervention in South Africa. If we want to see our nation turn around there is no other way than for us to first humble ourselves before the King of kings. Political and economic transformation cannot change the hearts of people. Only deep-rooted spiritual transformation can bring real change. The nation is ripped apart and only Jesus can heal South Africa. He must be central to change in the country, otherwise it won’t be true and lasting. The current turmoil is the poisonous fruit we are picking for building on the sand and compromising God’s guidelines. It is time to lead the nation back to building on the Rock and put the Cornerstone in place. It’s up to us.

A Sacred Assembly of 100 000 South Africans at FNB Stadium in Soweto.

God said: “Call a sacred assembly” (Joel 2:15). This is the Scripture God gave Angus Buchan and several other significant leaders in the country to put into action. Already there is favour from the Lord as He made the FNB Stadium in Soweto available. God has selected this place, with its history of pain and ruin, to activate healing and Godly restoration in South Africa. The enemy keeps on using racial enmity to destroy South Africa. We need to come into the presence of God and confess and forgive. Our hearts need to be transformed, melted and joined together by the Holy Spirit. It is envisioned that at least 50 000 black and 50 000 white South Africans, from all walks of life, gather there in humble submission to Almighty God. It is time to act. WHY is this so important?

Only when many of God’s people, the church, take the initiative to collectively come before the Lord on behalf of the nation, will the direction change. “Bend the church and bow the world,” is what brought about the Welsh Revival in the early 1900s. There rests a huge Calling (and destiny) on South Africa in the times we live in, but the enemy does everything to prevent it. It is up to us – God’s people – to direct the country INTO the future He intends for us and AWAY from the current destructive path we find ourselves on. Why can’t we all just pray at home? No, Jesus gives the answer in John 17:21, “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” The visible unity of the church (with each other and with God) speak very strongly to the world. The Holy Spirit then brings conviction. But if we remain passive, we have no impact and nothing changes. It is when we draw up, UNITE and gather in a Holy Assembly, that a message of new direction is loud and clear. And this is only the beginning of change. Only a united church can heal a divided nation. #BeTheChange

This, dear child of God, is a kind but URGENT invitation to gather together at the FNB Stadium in Soweto on Saturday, 19 November 2016, for a historic event that will open up a new prophetic path for South Africa as black and white stand together like never before. No doubt: we need each other and we need God’s intervention and leadership. It is a sincere and Spirit-led initiative that is not focused on man or traditions, but on God. Our nation is on the brink – it calls for drastic action. The good fight of faith starts on our knees; it is the position of victory. You are most needed here.

The Lord bless you and keep you,
Dr Arno van Niekerk.

A Nation That Forgets God Is Doomed

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Time is fast running out for us all in South Africa! How much worse must things become before we call unto our beloved Heavenly Father to intervene on our behalf?

This is not the responsibility of the unbeliever, this is the obligation and command of each bible believing Christian in this nation right now!

The word of God states very clearly, in 2 Chronicles 7:14,  “If My people, who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Whose people?

That’s quite correct: God’s people. We need to stand together as we see what is taking place in the nation at this very moment – the drought is not abating, the students are extremely unhappy and frustrated, the Rand is steadily slipping in value, and law and order is breaking down.

If ever we need God to intervene it is now!

We have a mandate from God to hold a “Sacred Assembly” at the FNB Stadium on the 19 of November, 2016. Tickets will be FREE! 100,000 of them can be collected at any Computicket outlet in the Country, from the 21st of October, that’s next week!

God will meet with us if we are serious with Him. I trust to see you there.

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan.

My youngest daughter brought a beautiful gift to my wife and I last night. It was a picture in a lovely rustic frame of a beautiful little girl who looked like she was about a year and a half old. She obviously came from a poor rural family and was sitting in her bath – a bucket of water.

She looked so angelic, so beautiful, with a big smile on her little face and a lovely dimple on her cheek.

The caption under this little picture stated, “You are rich when you are content with what you have”.

In book of 1 Timothy 6:6, the Bible tells us, “Godliness with contentment is great gain”.

Let us all go out today and start counting our blessings and thank God for what He has given us!

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan.

Time for the Whosoevers

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Sacred Assembly Slide

The time is now for the Whosoevers to enter into the Kingdom of God!

Romans 10:13 states very clearly that, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Why, you might very well ask?

Well, quite simply because time is fast running out for mankind, the tell-tale signs are everywhere. People need the Lord desperately. They want answers. They want them straight, and they want them simple, just like the Master spoke when he walked upon the earth. The prodigal needs to know that he is welcome back home whenever he wants.
The prostitutes, that her sins are forgiven, and she must go and sin no more.
The widow needs to know Jesus will be to her the husband she does not have.
The orphan, that he has a father in heaven who he can call, Daddy!

Now you and I, dear follower of Christ, need to get out into the world around us and tell the broken hearted, the guilty, the so-called failures, the confused, and the fearful, that Jesus loves them and wants to save them from a sure death that is theirs if they carry on the way they are going.

Romans 10:14 says: How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?

That’s where you and I come in, we must tell them lest they perish without God.

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan

Romans 10:17 –  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Sacred Assembly, 19 November, FNB Stadium – Official Announcement

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

We believe God has given to the Believers in South Africa a commandment and a mandate to gather together in one place, at one time and to repent (say sorry), so that Jesus can heal this land.

People from every walk of life are called; men, women, boys, girls, black, white, Indian, coloured, old and young.

From every station in life; ministers, farmers, sportsmen, housewives, old age pensioners, school teachers, shop keepers, students, businessmen, politicians, the widow and the orphan, the unemployed , miners, fishermen… yes indeed, the whosoever.

We are as a nation going to petition Almighty God to intervene on behalf of His people who are in a desperate situation, fast becoming the laughing stock of the world!

Why should the nations say among themselves, ” Where is their God?” –  Joel 2:17.

From the extreme north of our beloved SA , down to the Karoo, folk are asking us to pray for rain. Join us, come together at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg on November 19th 2016. Let us repent before a Holy God and ask Him to forgive us, to heal our nation and to deliver us from a self-destructive spirit of violence, corruption, hatred, unforgiveness, anger and negativity.

We are all privileged to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with a most warm and loving people. The forces of darkness however are fast decimating and we have got to draw a line in the sand – “This far devil… and no further”.

We need to put Jesus first again. We need to repent for allowing this nation to slip backwards and for compromising our Godly standards. We need to ask our loving God to visit us once more!

When we do this as a people on that Saturday afternoon in November, at the FNB Stadium, God says very clearly that the following will take place:

The Lord will be zealous for His Land. He will pity His People. He will send us food. We shall be content. We will no longer be a reproach among the nations.

–  Joel 2:18-19

THERE IS NO CHARGE, ENTRANCE IS FREE. Tickets to be collected at Computicket, on a first come first serve basis.

Please fast and pray for this “nation changer ” because, like never before, we need Jesus now.

God Bless, Angus and Jill.

UK Tour Update – A Statement from Angus Buchan

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in Article, From Angus' Desk

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

It is with great sadness of heart that I write you this letter in the early hours of this morning from my quiet time room.

On the virtual eve of my departure for a four Nations preaching campaign to the UK, to preach the undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have come under the most severe attack and resistance I have ever experienced in my life since becoming a Christian in 1979.

Starting in the beloved home country of my dearest Father and Mother, “Bonnie Scotland”. I am so pleased that the old Scottish blacksmith and his dear old wife are no longer alive – both safe in the arms of Jesus now.

Effectively, the gay rights movement have banned me from preaching the Gospel in their town called Galashiels situated on the Scottish Borders. The Sanhedrin (governing body), have put such huge pressure on the young pastor who invited me, that he has been forced to cancel the proposed Gospel event.

This action has now spread across the Irish Sea to the beautiful “Emerald Isle” and there is a tremendous uproar taking place as I write this letter to get me banned from preaching the Gospel there as well.

I am accused of being a homophobe, and many other unsavory things, but all I am doing, and still intend to do in Great Britain, is to preach the undiluted Word of God, “The Bible” in its entirety, not compromising one word. It is because I love people and do not want them to perish and go to a lost eternity.

John 17:17, states very clearly, “Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth”. That is all I have ever done in the past, and that is all I will ever do!

I love homosexuals, and I love lesbians, but I cannot condone their way of living, their lifestyle, because it is contrary to the teaching of God’s Holy Word!

Please pray for me, and my family, and loved ones, our team and very especially the team of gallant soldiers of the Cross who are boldly withstanding the full onslaught of the powers of darkness at this very moment in the United Kingdom and Ireland. 1 John 4:4.

In conclusion, it is so heart wrenching for me as a born African, who is simply attempting to take the precious Word of God back to the very country that brought it to Africa so many years ago, and at a great price. Those missionaries taught us well and they taught us to be “Bible believing Christians”, and they taught us that the Word of God is sovereign, and must never be tampered with or changed.

By His grace I shall return to my roots, taking with me the very same Gospel that was brought out to us in Africa by the early missionaries, (who brought the good news, with much love, blood, sweat, and tears at cost of their very own lives), and am trusting that I shall at least be afforded the opportunity to share Gods Holy Word with a dying World.

Your servant,
Angus Buchan.

Acts 18:9-10
“Do not be afraid but speak, and do not keep silent: for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” – The verse Jesus gave me, 1989, when I was called to preach the Gospel.

Call A Sacred Assembly – FNB Stadium

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Sacred Assembly - Website Wonderful news! We can say with great joy and extreme excitement that the FNB stadium has been officially booked for a great national gathering of the children of God on the 19th November 2016.

Entrance is FREE, so that the ‘whosoevers’ can attend (Romans 10:13). No person will be turned away, all will be welcomed, from the richest person to the poorest person, from the oldest to the youngest, black and white, coloured, and Indian.

The word of God will be preached, read out publicly, people will understand, and after much repentance, forgiveness, and healing, will leave the “Calabash” (FNB stadium) with much joy and peace in their hearts (Nehemiah 8:1-12).

People are desperate for hope, for real meaning in their lives, for direction, and as they understand their purpose in life through the uncompromised word of God, they will leave the gathering in one accord.

We believe with all of our hearts that this meeting will have national consequences for good (2 Chron 7:14).

We are trusting God that as we would humble ourselves before Him together as a nation, black, white, male and female, that Jesus will accomplish a revival in this nation among his people.

Please put this date in your diary today and start praying for it. Pass it around. We are trusting Jesus for a full house, and his Holy Ghost fire is going to fall.

We are back out on the water, deep water, but God has given us this mandate, and he will provide for it just like he has always done in the past. All He requires from you and I is much faith (Hebrews 11:6).

God Bless you as you pray for a national change for South Africa!

Angus and Jill Buchan.

Lighten The Load

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

In the book of Acts we see that when St Paul’s ship sailed to Rome and got into severe trouble because of a storm, they got rid of all their excess weight. They threw overboard all their tackle and all their merchandise, in order for the ship to be saved. As it turned out the ship did eventually crash into the shore at Malta, but the good news was that not one passenger was drowned or lost at sea – Two hundred and seventy-six persons were saved. This was because they listened to the instructions Paul had received from an Angel.

Sometimes we also need to get rid of a lot of excess baggage we are carrying in order to save the day, even our very lives.

As I write this letter to you the Lord Jesus is impressing upon me that you are carrying around on your back, a fifty kilogram bag of cement and it consists of all the things that weigh us down: unforgiveness, anger, fear, hatred, etc.

It is weighing you down, making you tired, and you are losing direction in your life, losing hope , and even becoming depressed, as the storms of life increase, and as a result you are starting to sink!

Jesus says very clearly to you today, “Cast your cares upon me for I care for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Get rid of that baggage today and you will never sink or be shipwrecked, get rid of all the excess, and concentrate on the great Mariner of the Sea: Jesus Christ. He alone will steer you into a safe and peaceful haven.

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan.

Live Your Dream

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Once you have been commissioned by God, and approved by trusted friends in Christ Jesus, then get on with it: ‘Just do it’.

Stop talking about it, and do it.

A young man approached me in a church service this last Sunday morning and asked me if I would please pray for him. He said that I had prayed for him when he came forward at an alter call many years ago. He was sixteen years old at the time and at present is over forty years old. We had been praying for people to get actively involved in serving Jesus, for them to live out their dream. Sadly, he told me, with tears running down his face, that he had done nothing about it all of these years. The young man basiclly asked if it was not too late to start again. With great joy we told him that it is never too late to start again. We anointed him with oil again, and then prayed that he would realize his dream from almost thirty years ago. The man and his wife went off together rejoicing with a determination to ‘just do it’.

Never forget, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so no more procrastinating for us. As God’s children let’s finish what we started for God.

Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan.
