Folly of the Godless

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

The word “folly” is an old English word which literally means foolishness. The Oxford dictionary tells us that it is an ornamental building with no practical purpose, especially a tower or mock-Gothic ruin in a large garden or park.

Now to say that there is no God, is extreme folly, because it serves absolutely no practical purpose!

As King David said in Psalm 53:1, ‘The fool said in his heart, “There is no God.”’

God is everywhere. As I write this letter from my quiet time room on the farm, and I hear the birds singing outside my window, I know that our God created this beautiful music. Even His creation is singing to Him.

There is more historical evidence that Jesus walked on this earth than there is about Julius Caesar! Just about every single Bible prophecy has come to pass, and Jesus second coming is very evident.

Let us not waste valuable time trying to disprove the existence of God, let us rather increase our faith by believing the Bible (Romans 8:17), and by telling the world about this soon returning God who so loves us that He gave us His only Son Jesus Christ. Let us tell them about the God who has made a way for each one of us to walk this road of life with peace, purpose, and victory.

Remember, He’s not coming back for good people, He’s coming back for Believers; those who know their God. And because of that single act of faith, the Believer shall carry out great exploits for God in these last days. Daniel 11:32, “But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

God Bless,

Keep On Going

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

As we face the end of another year many of us might have had a few disappointments during 2016.

Maybe you did not quite succeed in your goals, maybe you did not realize your dream for this year. Well, we are not alone because the Apostle Paul, who wrote two thirds of the New Testament, and who had a personal, on-on-one encounter with the living Christ, said, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12)

So therefore, you and I need to keep on going, and not lose heart because, He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

I honestly believe, with all my heart, that the best has yet to come for us who believe.

God bless you as you blow that trumpet loud and clear!

Counting The Cost

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Early this morning while spending time with the Master, I felt very strongly in my spirit that Jesus relayed to me that as we draw near to his second coming, and we see all the signs around us pointing that way, we need to really, and honestly, sit down and count the cost! Basically, if our faith and allegiance to Jesus Christ in these last days is costing us nothing, then it is actually worth nothing. In the Gospel of Luke and chapter 9: 57-62, we see many people wanting to follow after Jesus, but every single time that discipleship came at a cost, and priorities were required. For example, there was a man who wanted desperately to follow the Lord, but who said, “Please let me first bury my Father.” Jesus replied, “Let the dead bury their own dead.” There was another man who said, “Lord I desire to follow you, but let me first go and say goodbye to my family.” Jesus said, “Once you have put your hand to the plough there is absolutely no turning back for anything.” We are going up to the third biggest stadium in the world on Saturday 19th November to meet with God as a Nation. For us there can be no possibility of turning back for anyone or anything. We will see you there with at least 100,000 others who are committed to see South Africa supernaturally changed by the hand of God, as we his people, repent on behalf of a nation that has turned its back on God, we will see you there. God Bless, Angus and Jill Buchan 2 Chronicles 7:14

Joy Comes In The Morning

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Having returned last night from the City of Gold (Egoli), I can honestly say that very rarely in my walk with God have I ever been as excited as I felt this beautiful Monday morn, the last day of October 2016 . The Lord Jesus has spoken so very clearly to me through His beautiful word, the bible, in and through Psalm 30: 1 and 12. Yes, I have felt like I have been in the proverbial pit, with no light at the end of the tunnel for a while now. But this morning the weeping was over, and joy has filled my heart to overflowing. God is going to perform something supernatural at the “Calabash” like we have never seen before in this ministry! Yesterday we had three very powerful encounters with the public. Two meetings took place in large, predominantly black radio stations in Johannesburg, and it was so amazing to come face to face with the public at large, and then to hear their heartfelt frustrations, anger, and hope, for the future of this nation. It was a wonderful revelation, and conformation for me that the Sacred Assembly is right on time. Then to have the privilege to speak at Ashley Bell’s dynamic Church, which was packed to the very rafters with eager souls wanting to hear from Jesus Himself. As I walked in to the meeting the very air was pregnant with excitement and expectation. The Church had been praying and believing that it was for a time such as this, we have been called. (Esther 4:14) “The Lord is my Helper”, and He has turned my mourning into dancing, – Psalm 30:11 Please collect your tickets from Computicket as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The people of God are coming to the stadium in their masses to repent, to confess, and then to receive, and Jesus has promised me, and you, that yet once again he shall not disappoint. From the top government officials, to the simple hard working man in the street, they are all coming. Please do not miss out on this God moment in your life. As one dear intercessor said, “This type of meeting may never take place again.” God Bless you richly, Angus and Jill Buchan.

Fence Sitters

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

There is no place left for fence sitters any longer. The situation that we see ourselves involved in requires serious decision making and total commitment from every single follower of Jesus Christ. We can no longer remain indifferent to our circumstances.

I firmly believe God has chosen you and I for a time such as this (Esther 4: 14) and that we have a vital role to play in the destiny of this confused, depraved and desperate world in which we are living.

Jesus made it very clear that if we are not for Him, then we are most defiantly against Him. (Matthew 12:30)

I firmly believe that the sovereignty, and authenticity of God’s Holy Word, the Bible, is at stake in these last days. Folk have no fear or regard for God’s written instructions.

When we mess with the written Word of God then we mess with Jesus!

We have to become much more outspoken about God’s instructions to us through His Word. We can no longer turn a blind eye when nations, churches and even Christian leaders twist and change God’s Word to suit themselves. You and I have been called to be Watchmen. An effective Watchman tells the People when the enemy is coming, “we must blow the trumpet loud and clear”.

God Bless you. We will see you on the 19th November at the FNB Stadium when we shall blow the trumpet loud and crystal clear. There is lots of hope for this Nation if we quite simply get off the fence, then speak up!

A Nation That Forgets God Is Doomed

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Time is fast running out for us all in South Africa! How much worse must things become before we call unto our beloved Heavenly Father to intervene on our behalf?

This is not the responsibility of the unbeliever, this is the obligation and command of each bible believing Christian in this nation right now!

The word of God states very clearly, in 2 Chronicles 7:14,  “If My people, who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Whose people?

That’s quite correct: God’s people. We need to stand together as we see what is taking place in the nation at this very moment – the drought is not abating, the students are extremely unhappy and frustrated, the Rand is steadily slipping in value, and law and order is breaking down.

If ever we need God to intervene it is now!

We have a mandate from God to hold a “Sacred Assembly” at the FNB Stadium on the 19 of November, 2016. Tickets will be FREE! 100,000 of them can be collected at any Computicket outlet in the Country, from the 21st of October, that’s next week!

God will meet with us if we are serious with Him. I trust to see you there.

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan.

My youngest daughter brought a beautiful gift to my wife and I last night. It was a picture in a lovely rustic frame of a beautiful little girl who looked like she was about a year and a half old. She obviously came from a poor rural family and was sitting in her bath – a bucket of water.

She looked so angelic, so beautiful, with a big smile on her little face and a lovely dimple on her cheek.

The caption under this little picture stated, “You are rich when you are content with what you have”.

In book of 1 Timothy 6:6, the Bible tells us, “Godliness with contentment is great gain”.

Let us all go out today and start counting our blessings and thank God for what He has given us!

God Bless,

Time for the Whosoevers

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

Sacred Assembly Slide

The time is now for the Whosoevers to enter into the Kingdom of God!

Romans 10:13 states very clearly that, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Why, you might very well ask?

Well, quite simply because time is fast running out for mankind, the tell-tale signs are everywhere. People need the Lord desperately. They want answers. They want them straight, and they want them simple, just like the Master spoke when he walked upon the earth. The prodigal needs to know that he is welcome back home whenever he wants.
The prostitutes, that her sins are forgiven, and she must go and sin no more.
The widow needs to know Jesus will be to her the husband she does not have.
The orphan, that he has a father in heaven who he can call, Daddy!

Now you and I, dear follower of Christ, need to get out into the world around us and tell the broken hearted, the guilty, the so-called failures, the confused, and the fearful, that Jesus loves them and wants to save them from a sure death that is theirs if they carry on the way they are going.

Romans 10:14 says: How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?

That’s where you and I come in, we must tell them lest they perish without God.

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan

Romans 10:17 –  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Sacred Assembly, 19 November, FNB Stadium – Official Announcement

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in From Angus' Desk

We believe God has given to the Believers in South Africa a commandment and a mandate to gather together in one place, at one time and to repent (say sorry), so that Jesus can heal this land.

People from every walk of life are called; men, women, boys, girls, black, white, Indian, coloured, old and young.

From every station in life; ministers, farmers, sportsmen, housewives, old age pensioners, school teachers, shop keepers, students, businessmen, politicians, the widow and the orphan, the unemployed , miners, fishermen… yes indeed, the whosoever.

We are as a nation going to petition Almighty God to intervene on behalf of His people who are in a desperate situation, fast becoming the laughing stock of the world!

Why should the nations say among themselves, ” Where is their God?” –  Joel 2:17.

From the extreme north of our beloved SA , down to the Karoo, folk are asking us to pray for rain. Join us, come together at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg on November 19th 2016. Let us repent before a Holy God and ask Him to forgive us, to heal our nation and to deliver us from a self-destructive spirit of violence, corruption, hatred, unforgiveness, anger and negativity.

We are all privileged to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with a most warm and loving people. The forces of darkness however are fast decimating and we have got to draw a line in the sand – “This far devil… and no further”.

We need to put Jesus first again. We need to repent for allowing this nation to slip backwards and for compromising our Godly standards. We need to ask our loving God to visit us once more!

When we do this as a people on that Saturday afternoon in November, at the FNB Stadium, God says very clearly that the following will take place:

The Lord will be zealous for His Land. He will pity His People. He will send us food. We shall be content. We will no longer be a reproach among the nations.

–  Joel 2:18-19

THERE IS NO CHARGE, ENTRANCE IS FREE. Tickets to be collected at Computicket, on a first come first serve basis.

Please fast and pray for this “nation changer ” because, like never before, we need Jesus now.

God Bless, Angus and Jill.

UK Tour Update – A Statement from Angus Buchan

Written by Angus Buchan on . Posted in Article, From Angus' Desk

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

It is with great sadness of heart that I write you this letter in the early hours of this morning from my quiet time room.

On the virtual eve of my departure for a four Nations preaching campaign to the UK, to preach the undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have come under the most severe attack and resistance I have ever experienced in my life since becoming a Christian in 1979.

Starting in the beloved home country of my dearest Father and Mother, “Bonnie Scotland”. I am so pleased that the old Scottish blacksmith and his dear old wife are no longer alive – both safe in the arms of Jesus now.

Effectively, the gay rights movement have banned me from preaching the Gospel in their town called Galashiels situated on the Scottish Borders. The Sanhedrin (governing body), have put such huge pressure on the young pastor who invited me, that he has been forced to cancel the proposed Gospel event.

This action has now spread across the Irish Sea to the beautiful “Emerald Isle” and there is a tremendous uproar taking place as I write this letter to get me banned from preaching the Gospel there as well.

I am accused of being a homophobe, and many other unsavory things, but all I am doing, and still intend to do in Great Britain, is to preach the undiluted Word of God, “The Bible” in its entirety, not compromising one word. It is because I love people and do not want them to perish and go to a lost eternity.

John 17:17, states very clearly, “Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth”. That is all I have ever done in the past, and that is all I will ever do!

I love homosexuals, and I love lesbians, but I cannot condone their way of living, their lifestyle, because it is contrary to the teaching of God’s Holy Word!

Please pray for me, and my family, and loved ones, our team and very especially the team of gallant soldiers of the Cross who are boldly withstanding the full onslaught of the powers of darkness at this very moment in the United Kingdom and Ireland. 1 John 4:4.

In conclusion, it is so heart wrenching for me as a born African, who is simply attempting to take the precious Word of God back to the very country that brought it to Africa so many years ago, and at a great price. Those missionaries taught us well and they taught us to be “Bible believing Christians”, and they taught us that the Word of God is sovereign, and must never be tampered with or changed.

By His grace I shall return to my roots, taking with me the very same Gospel that was brought out to us in Africa by the early missionaries, (who brought the good news, with much love, blood, sweat, and tears at cost of their very own lives), and am trusting that I shall at least be afforded the opportunity to share Gods Holy Word with a dying World.

Your servant,
Angus Buchan.

Acts 18:9-10
“Do not be afraid but speak, and do not keep silent: for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” – The verse Jesus gave me, 1989, when I was called to preach the Gospel.
