It is a privilege to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you to all those who will read this letter and join with us to pray, not being anxious about anything, but in every situation, with prayer and petition and with thanksgiving, will present our request to our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus.
If ever there was a time for “prayer without ceasing”, it is now. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Paul, the apostle exhorted the saints of Ephesus to pray in the Spirit, on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and request. From the above we can conclude that prayer is the privilege we have to converse with God without having to make an appointment with Him.
November and December seem to be the months reserved for celebrations, year-end functions, parties, holidays, Christmas shopping and family gatherings. Together we enjoy Christmas dinners, Christmas services with Christmas carols and catching up with friends and family.
December is also one of the most turbulent months of the year as it seems that many people see this as the time of the year to “do what is right in their own eyes.” It is, however, most importantly the month in which we celebrate the birth of the Saviour of this world. I believe this is God’s word to us right now. “Although is seems to be all havoc out there, these are the fields that are standing white and ready to be harvested. Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers to bring in the harvest.”
Let us then pray for Angus, one of Gods willing harvesters, always ready to minister to lost souls and to thank Jesus for their salvation. Angus will be at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, USA, on Sunday 23rd November to preach the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to give thanks, along with the congregation and the leaders of World Outreached Church, for what God continues to do in their midst.
Please pray that the Lord would give Angus a living and refreshing word anointed by the Holy Spirit, to share with God’s people. Please also pray for good health, for physical strength and a safe journey for both Angus and Sias Le Roux who will accompany him. Please remember to pray for their families back home and for Angus wife, Jill, who as an intercessor continues to pray for him.
On the 6th December, Angus will minister at Pevensey Place, an adult cerebral palsy centre in Underberg K.Z.N. Pevensey is a place of love, compassion and understanding. Please pray for them and visit them when you can at www.pevenseyplace.co.za
Thank you for your prayer support for Angus during the course of this year. Let me encourage you again that your labour in the Lord is not in vain and you will reap your reward, if not here, then definitely in the life hereafter.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.”
