Red Hot

“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:26

Wow - That is quite a scripture... Followed up with Romans 1:16 which says:

“I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

We have got to stand up and be counted in these days - It is not optional. The hardest place to be a Christian is in your own hometown or environment, isn't it? It is much easier to be a Christian out there in the world where nobody knows you.

This morning while praying before recording this message, my heart is really for the younger generation. In my age group, people have already made up their minds what they think of us and we have made our stance. But for the younger generation, it is a struggle, in an unforgiving and sometimes ruthless society, especially at school or at university. The easiest thing to do, to make your stand for Christ, is to make it crystal clear the first day you go to school or university - right from the start.

They used to tell the young soldiers when they went to the army, the first night you arrive - get on your knees. Even if you do not do it at home and pray before you go to bed, and that will show the young men in that particular barracks, who you are following. The worst thing for that young person to do is to be lukewarm and to blow hot and cold. No one will like you for that. One day you are hunting with the hounds and the next day you are running with the hares... It doesn’t work.

Jesus Himself said, “I would rather you be cold or hot, but if you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16.

You and I today, let us be red-hot for the Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless you and goodbye.
