A Mustard Seed
If we read in the Word of God, in the gospel of Luke 17:5, it says:
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
Today, like never before, we need more faith to live, not only each day, but each moment of the day. Now Jesus said, if you have faith the size of one mustard seed, then you can say to the mulberry tree, be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea and it would obey you (Luke 17:6).
Wherever I go, I usually fill my pockets with little bottles of mustard seed, and I give them to people to encourage them to walk by faith and not by sight. I have to emphasise that they are not ‘lucky charms’, but rather they are reminders that with faith so small God can do the impossible - faith like the minute mustard seed that you can hardly see with the naked eye. I ask them not to open the bottle, but to keep them in their pocket or in their purse, and when they face that mountain in their lives, it is a reminder that by the grace of God and with faith, they can overcome this mountain.
Today, as we go out, let us go out with faith, even as small as a mustard seed. Jesus says that will be sufficient to remove that mountain and cast it into the sea.
Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day
