Divinely Warned

In the gospel of Matthew 2:12 (NKJV):

Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

We see that the wisemen were divinely warned in a dream that they should not go back to King Herod and report where the baby Jesus was born, but rather to depart on another road back to their own countries.

You and I need to pay attention when the Lord speaks to us. Sometimes through a dream. Sometimes through a word of knowledge (given by a Godly person that we trust). Sometimes by a scripture verse through the Bible, like I have just read to you.  We need to pay attention because in these days in which we are living, we cannot afford to make mistakes.

If the wisemen had paid no attention to the dream and had reported back to King Herod, then the baby would have been killed. But we praise God for the wisemen, Godly men, who listened to the Word in the dream, and went back home rejoicing that they had met, and seen, and delivered, their gifts to the Christ Child.

Let us today, listen carefully to that still, small voice that says: “This is the way, walk in it”.
