Don't Give Up

This morning, while reading the Word of God, having my quiet time, the Lord gave me the scripture which is found in the gospel of Matthew 7:7.

“Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” 

The Lord impressed upon me that we need to chase after Him, as it were, and to seek Him with all our hearts, to knock when the door is closed and to stand patiently and wait for Him to open it, because He has promised us that He will do it.  You will find that in Revelation 3:8. We need to seek out what it is that He wants for you and me to do.  It’s not just a case of well, I will just hang around until the Lord gives me direction, no. We’ve got to seek it, we’ve got to ask, we’ve got to knock on that door and then He will do it for us.

The Lord is more eager to help us than we are to ask Him, and we really need to understand that.  So, what is the blockage, where is the cork in the bottle, quite simply because we are not seeking Him with all of our hearts.  Today, make a decision to continue to persist, to wait until the door is opened, and that when it is opened, we go through it, not before and He will undertake for each one of us.
