Genuine Faith

The wisest man who ever lived, Solomon said: “There is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9.

The Apostle Paul told his spiritual son Timothy to call to remembrance the genuine faith that his family had. Paul was thinking about Timothy’s mother Eunice and his grandmother Lois.

Another way of saying ‘genuine faith’ is un-hypocritical faith!

We need to stir up within ourselves the gift of God which we received when we first met the Lord Jesus Christ.

In verse 7 we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

If it is founded in God’s Holy Word the Bible, then believe it, however if it is not in the Bible, no matter how good and logical it may sound, do not accept it.
