The Upside Down Gospel

The Upside Down Gospel
Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.
— Mark 9 :34-37

The San Bushmen folk call the mighty Baobab tree 'The Upside Down Tree', because when it loses its leaves in winter, its branches look like its roots sticking up in the air!
And so it is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ - if we want to be the greatest in the Kingdom of God, then we must be prepared to be the least, and the servant of all.

I have a most beautiful little granddaughter, her name is Rebecca and she is nine months old. When I spent time with her yesterday afternoon it was just so refreshing to see her innocence, her trust in me, and her absolute joy in the little things of life - yes, her sheer childlikeness.

Now Jesus says we need to become more childlike if we are to see the Kingdom of God, we need to trust Him more, to believe Him more, to obey Him more, and most of all to love Him more with that childlike faith! Then we will start to see things really change for the better in our lives.

God Bless,
Angus and Jill Buchan.
