He's Coming Soon

Can you believe that it is almost Christmas again? Recently, I’ve heard so many people say to me, "where is the time going?" 

Well, I want to say to you today that we need to be ready. We need to be ready for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. If we look at Luke 21:27 NKJV the Bible tells us:

“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” 

Now you’ve heard me say this many times before, “I am a cloud watcher”. The Lord has told us that He is coming back in the clouds and every morning when I see the beautiful clouds forming, I say: “Lord, is today the day that you are coming back”? Well, I think all of us can unanimously say: Come Lord Jesus come. How much worse must it get before you come?

We really need to be ready. We need to keep short accounts with men and short accounts with God. We cannot afford to have anything hanging over our heads because when He comes, after that, it will be too late to try and rectify relationships or do things that we meant to do.

Now, remember, we might meet Him in the clouds before He meets us. So it’s not necessarily about the 2nd Coming - it's about when we meet with the Lord. This life, as we are told so many times in the Bible, is merely a vapour... it's like the early morning mist - as soon as the sun comes up, it disappears. We need to get ready. We need to enjoy our time here on earth but we really need to be looking up because our eternal home is not here on earth, it is in heaven.
