Only Believe

If we go to the Word of God in Mark 5:36 (NKJV), we see that Jesus says, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”  Then we go on to verse 40, “And they ridiculed Him.”  Now Jesus was called to come and heal the little girl, only to have a message on the road that she had already died. But He said, she has not died, she is asleep. The crowd heard what He said, “And they ridiculed Him.”  Then of course we hear Jesus went in and he prayed over that little girl and she was raised from the dead. He even told her family to give her something to eat. Such a sensitive understanding God we serve, always in control of even the finest details.

How is it in your life today? Have people given you bad news. Have they said to you there is no hope? Have they said to you that there is nothing that can be done, that you are surely going to die? When the Word of God says, “only believe”, and you have said to your friends ‘I am trusting God for my miracle’, whether it is financial, whether it’s physical healing, whether it’s a job opportunity and the people have ridiculed you and said it can’t happen.

Well today the Lord says to you, He asks you and me a question: Is there anything too difficult for Him? That was the same question that He asked Sarah when she was almost a hundred years old and the Lord told Abraham that He was going to have a son, that he was going to be the father of many nations. The Bible says that Sarah went behind the tent and was giggling, laughing at the news. Then the Lord asked her a question in Genesis 18:14 (NKJV), “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”  And the answer of course is, there is nothing too hard for the Lord and she conceived and she bore a son, his name was Isaac, the most beautiful child.

I want to say to you today that nothing is too hard for the Lord. Do not listen to the ridicule of the world system, when you start talking about the miracle working power of Jesus Christ. Only keep your eyes fixed on the Lord and He, He will see you through.

Jesus bless you and have a wonderful week.

Love, Angus, Jill Buchan and the Shalom Team.
