The Blood

Early this morning, while having my quiet time, the Lord gave me a beautiful scripture, found in Zachariah 13:1:

In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

And then we go to Hebrews 9:14.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

What a beautiful, beautiful thought as we look forward to Easter, to Good Friday, when Jesus paid the ultimate price for us when He died on that cross, shedding all of his blood so that we could have eternal life. 
The ultimate sacrifice. The blood of Christ cleanses us from all our iniquity and sin.

Today, let us remember that there is no sin the Lord cannot forgive and no stain that He cannot cleanse. We must take time out this Easter to sit quietly and contemplate the incredible sacrifice and price the Lord paid for us once and for all! For that, we thank Him.
