Fruits Worthy Of Repentance
It is Tuesday, 27th October 2020, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day.
If we go to Matthew - Matthew Chapter 3 and verse 8:
“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance…”
We have to change, and this country has to change and this world has to change.
And how is that going to happen? When God’s people start to genuinely repent on behalf of the people, standing in the gap for our loved ones, who maybe do not know or maybe don’t even want to know Jesus at this time, because of the pain that they are suffering.
Do you remember the “Its Time” prayer meeting that we held in Bloemfontein, South Africa, when over one million people repented on behalf of the nation?
What was the result? Miracle after miracle.
Remember, there was a change in the government.
The nuclear power station was shelved as unconstitutional. It would have bankrupted us if we had gone through with it.
We were facing another drought and yet we had a bumper maize crop.
The rand had just been trashed and yet after that meeting, it strengthened.
Prayer and hymn singing in parliament!
Remember, after we left that field, there was not one single sweetie paper left on the field, no acts of theft or violence.
We had 450,000 motor cars parked there.
The airports were closed - too many aeroplanes there.
The helicopters were flying back and forward like bumblebees.
What a day that was!
Healings took place, remember, in the fields.
Now we cannot have another national prayer meeting at the moment because of the Cover 19, the Coronavirus and the lockdown we are involved in, but we can repent in our early morning quiet times with Jesus.
We can repent at work with some of our Christian friends.
We can repent in the school.
We can repent in our motor cars going to work.
Maybe you are doing that right now as you are listening to this thought for the day.
We can repent on the sports field, in the old age home, and in the hospital.
Folks, God is calling us to say sorry on behalf of the people in our nation and around the world.
We need to obey Him. It’s Time - yes, it is - to repent, so that The Lord can bless us.
Have a wonderful day as you continue to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, the Author and the Perfecter of our faith!
