Marriage Is Honourable Among All

“Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”

Our conduct must be without any covetousness.

We need to be content with what we have.

Oh, my dear friend, we need to honor our marriages, and not only honor them, but protect them.

There is to be no looking over the wall as King David did.

Look at the endless problems it caused him when he did that terrible thing.

We can read the account in the Book of 2 Samuel Chapter 11 and verses 1 to 5.

Straight after that, the rot set in. His life was never the same.

Yes, he did repent and God did forgive him but you never hear of David killing any Goliath’s after he had the affair with Bathsheba.

We really need to be content with the wives of our youth.

We cannot be unfaithful.

No relationships are to be had outside of the marriage.

This is not just for husbands, for wives as well.

We cannot call ourselves true believers if we have a relationship outside of our marriage and we cheat on our loved ones.

We really need to, for the sake of the Gospel, for the sake of our children, we need to keep ourselves pure and honorable and faithful to our loved ones and you know, probably the greatest secret of all to a lasting marriage, is to pray together, every single day.

Honor the sanctity of marriage.

Sanctity means holiness, sacredness.

Never, ever allow yourself to be put in a compromising position with someone of the opposite sex.

Tell each other that you love one another, daily.

Every single morning when I take a cup of tea to my wife Jill, I tell her that I love her.

You say, “Well, my wife knows that.”

Well, keep telling her because she loves to hear it and your husband - he likes to hear you saying that as well.

God bless you and have a lovely day as a happily married couple.

It speaks volumes to the world.
