Live Your Dream
“Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”
We need to live our dream.
You say, “But everything is falling apart, there doesn’t seem to be any hope - no future. The whole world seems to be closing down. I want to say to you that nothing will happen to you without God’s permission.
So, we must start with that vision. It must be real, it must start at the beginning. It must be all about God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.
The angels will help us.
We must walk with God through this vision. Remember, we pass this way but once and then the judgement. If your vision does not scare you then it is not big enough. If you aim at nothing, you are sure to hit it - You need to live your dream.
You must attempt something that is so big that if it is not from God it is doomed to fail. “Why?” you might ask. Well, because when it works, people will say, “No man could accomplish that,” and God gets all the glory.
Make your vision plain.
Share it with others that you can trust. “Don’t cast your pearls before swine,” Jesus says, “because they will come and trample it in the mud and devour you.”
Exercise patience.
Wait for it, if it is of God, it will surely come to pass. You know, Rudyard Kipling is one of my favourite writers. He wrote that amazing poem, “If.”
“If my son…” He wrote it for his young son and he was a great writer.
He wrote The Jungle Book. He wrote Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, with the Cobra and the Mongoose. But do you know what happened to him, early in his life?
He was basically locked up in the attic of his landlady’s house.
His mom and dad had gone to India, they were working in India and the landlady was afraid that she would lose him. So he spent most of his days locked up in the attic. He used to look out the window and he started to dream about his vision. Of course eventually, when he grew up, he had an incredible imagination and became a great writer.
I want you to live your dream today - It doesn’t matter what things look like.
Maybe your business is going down, maybe you have lost a loved one; maybe it looks like the government doesn’t know what it is doing. But God does.
Live your dream. It will get you up every single morning. I am living my dream. And remember that vision must glorify God.
Have a wonderful day.
