Great Exploits

And a very good morning to you!

It is 2021, Saturday morning, and it is 2nd January. Can you believe it?

And if you listen very carefully, you will hear that there is rain falling on my tin roof in my quiet time room, and one of the gospel singers sang that song, and I remember the words, something like,

“There will be the sound of raindrops on a tin roof in Heaven.”

And I can’t wait for that! Well, anyway, getting down to business.

You know every year as we start the new year, I always ask The Holy Spirit to impress upon me a scripture verse for the year, a verse that I can hold onto.

This year, He has given me a very well known scripture and I am most excited about it.

It is found in Daniel, the Book of Daniel, Chapter 11 and verse 32b. It goes like this:

“…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

This is the year of doing great things for Jesus on Earth, but we must only use God’s Holy Word, The Bible, as our mandate, and nothing else.

How do you get to know someone? Well, it is quite simple. By spending time with them - those who know their God.

We really need to up our quiet times with Jesus this year. And when you spend time with Jesus,

He makes you strong - He gives you a sound mind. He gives you a strong body.

He gives you vision, He gives you direction.

And then thirdly, you will be able to carry out great exploits for Him.

I looked up the Oxford Dictionary. The word, “exploit” means, a bold or daring feat.

I want to encourage you to ask The Lord to give you a personal scripture verse for yourself for this year, and then hold onto it, and then keep looking forward and then God will take you through.

It is going to be a most exciting time.
