Time With Jesus

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
— Matthew 7:21

You and I need to be very careful this week that we are not doing so many good works that we are forgetting the Lord of the works. We need to be so careful. We need to be spending time with Jesus first and foremost. If we go to the Word of God in Revelation 2:4, Jesus says:

“Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”

You know, they asked that German reformer, Martin Luther, “What do you do when you become very busy in the mornings, do you spend less time with God?” And he replied, “No, I get up earlier in the morning and I spend more time with God.”

I am sitting in a grass-thatched cottage, right up in the bush, with my dear wife Jill and I am having a quiet time. The sun has not yet risen and it is extremely warm, it has been raining during the night. It is very humid and there are insects that are active all over the place. I am perspiring with the heat but, you know, I feel the presence of Almighty God all around me, and I am at total peace as I share this message with you. I can feel my very soul being rejuvenated - It is a wonderful feeling. Please take time out this week to be with the Lord because He loves you very, very much.

In 2003 I was sitting, that’s right, in a thatched cottage up in the Northern part of Kwa-zulu Natal, when the Holy Spirit spoke to me so clearly in my heart and said: “Cancel all your preaching appointments and go back home - I want to show you a new game plan.” And that was the initiation of the Mighty Men phenomenon, that is going right around the world today. Remember, a good idea is not always a God-idea.

Spend time with Jesus because He is waiting to hear from you today.
God bless you and have a wonderful week.
