Thy Word

A very good morning to you, I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, 20th December 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17

You know, without faith we cannot please the Lord. Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith, we cannot please Him and he who believes must believe that He is and that He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Jesus is the Word!

”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” 
John 1:1

Before the world was made, before the galaxies were made, the Word was already there. Why? Because Jesus is the Word! So if a doubting person comes to you and says, “This Jesus that you are always talking about, show me! I want to see Him.” Give him a Bible. That is what the word is, the word is Jesus in print.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7

Now, how do you get faith - That is the big question. People write to me and say, “Please pray for me, that I might have more faith. How do I get more faith?” I never pray for them to have more faith. I pray that they would have a hunger to read the word of God. Many of you know that on the cover of my Bible I have got printed: “My Agricultural Manual.” Now, some people have said to me, “That is disrespectful to the Word of God.” No, it is not - My Bible is a reality to me. My Bible is a tool, it is the tool of my trade. My Bible shows me the way. Psalm 119:105:

“Thy word (The Bible) is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Now today, start to use your Agricultural Manual. Start to read the Word of God, consistently, and I want to tell you it will give you direction. It will give you peace and it will increase your faith.
