A Rushing Wind

And a very good morning to you! It is Tuesday morning, 22nd of February, the year 2022. And we go straight to the Gospel of John, this is what it says:

“Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.”

John 7:2

Just that far. Then down to verse 10 of the same chapter:

“But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.”

Jesus was asked to go up to the Feast of Tabernacles with the disciples but He went secretly, why? Because He knew the Jews were plotting to kill Him. I want to say to you today that we need to make a decision. Do we believe that Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God?

You see, if we go on to verse 12 it says:

“And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, "He is good"; others said, "No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

I want to tell you, and I mean it from my heart... I am sitting in my prayer room and I am remembering what happened to me on 30th September 2012 when I was invited to be the speaker at the Feast of Tabernacles, at Ein Gedi, on the Dead Sea in Israel. I was invited by the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem (ICEJ). It was a very, very warm evening, over 40 degrees at 7 p.m. - Remember, it is the lowest point on earth. It doesn’t rain there, the wind doesn’t blow there - It is dead in more ways than one.

I went up onto the platform and I started reading from Acts 2:2-3 and this is what it says:

“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.”

When I had finished reading that, I closed my Bible, I was so excited. I was in Jesus country... I said, “ Lord, please do it again!” - And oh my dear friend, He did it! Yes, He did! A rushing mighty wind came like I have never seen before. It blew the side screens down, it started blowing the equipment off the platform - all the guitars and the keyboards!

Now, I want to ask you a question today. Was that a coincidence or was that a God-incidence? I am telling you that there are people that will still say to you, “No, that was just a coincidence.” Folks, why didn’t the wind blow an hour before the meeting? Why didn’t the wind blow two days afterwards... It blew right at that very moment and then it started to rain. Now, it doesn’t rain there, it is like the moon. There is nothing there.

You see, up to that time, many people said, “Is He the Son of God?” And they argued. I want to tell you people are still doing that today but we need to understand one thing: Jesus Christ is coming back very, very soon and we need to believe and we need to be ready.

I am telling you, I couldn’t sleep that night. They took me back up to Jerusalem to my hotel. I lay on my bed the whole night - I was weeping, I was laughing, I was praying. Jesus Christ visited us that night.
