Faith Connection

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 30th of May, 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. 

We start in the Book of Hebrews, the book of faith -

”But without faith it is impossible to please Him, (that's the Lord Jesus Christ) for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”  
Hebrews 11:6

I read an article by the great prince of preachers, Charles Haddon Spurgeon. He says in one of his readings, faith is the phone that links Heaven and Earth. He says, “but if the connection breaks down, how can we receive God’s promises?” Now, we both know, my dear friend, that 2 Corinthians 5:7 says we walk by faith and not by sight. It is faith that links us with divinity. Faith is what links us with Heaven. We need to look after our faith very well. If you lose your cell phone, you have no more connection with your contacts, and I have watched people become frantic if they lose their cell phone. I have seen them in a restaurant, the lady is looking for her phone but it is in her handbag and eventually she finds it and she is so relieved. Well, I want to tell you, faith is the link between Heaven and Earth. 

Now, remember, when people come to you and they bring negative words and say, “This country is finished! There is no future, there is no hope!”, there are two words that you answer that negative remark with. You say, “But God!” 

I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

But God! So when they say to you it can’t happen, you say, ”But God! It can happen.” And when they say it is impossible for you to do that, you say, “But with God, all things are possible!” I really want you to look after your supernatural cell phone, your contact - it is called faith. Spend time praying, and spend time believing the promises of God spoken over you. 

When the devil attacks you with his lies and says, “You can’t”, your answer is, “But God!” But God! I will pass my examination because God will see me through. God will heal this body of mine. God will restore me. God has forgiven me. You speak life to yourself and you trust the Lord and the more you speak faith, the more faith you will receive and you start to read about faith. You read the Bible, you read Christian books of great men and women of faith who have gone before us, and then you will be connected with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
