Walk in The Light

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” Ephesians 5:8

“When the heart is pure, the eye is single-focused.”

I will say that again.

“When the heart is focused the eye is single-focused.”

That is what F.B. Meyer said. But then again when the heart is muddy, the eye is blurred. Our eyes are darkened when our hearts are not pure. Once we shut the door to God’s truth in our hearts, we cannot see where we are going. If we walk in the light of God, then we ought to shine and resemble God, and reflect His light in the darkness. We must walk with Him daily if we are going to walk in His light. People are drawn to those who walk in the light of God, just like moths are drawn to a security lamp in the middle of the night. We need our "Yes" to be yes and we need to let our "No" be no.

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6

We need to be definite and then we will shine with the light of God.

I remember a story of a young girl from a very strong Christian home. She came home one day and she said, “I am going to marry a communist.” Now, communists don’t even believe that there is a God. Her folks were absolutely shattered. They said, “How can you do that?” And with tears in her eyes, she said, “Dad, mom, I have met the first man in my life who knows where he is going and he believes in what he is doing.” - A communist.

We, as Christians, need to be definite and then we will shine in the light and we will not walk in the darkness. Today, go out and shine because people are in darkness everywhere. People are undecided, people don’t know how to make decisions... They are going with the flow and they are getting themselves into trouble.

We need to walk according to the Word of God.
Have a wonderful day. God bless you.
