Eye for an Eye

Romans 12:21 the Lord says:

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Don’t allow evil to drown you because it will rob you of your joy. It will actually make you sick - rather overcome evil with good. Let us today show kindness to all men and trust God for the results. That is what F.B. Meyer said. Remember, revenge belongs to God and He will set the record straight. That is why we are called to pray for our enemies and for those who oppress us. Remember, it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. You know, the Bible tells us, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” But Jesus says in Matthew 5:38:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.”

Wow! That is a powerful statement but why? Because that is where you get the victory. Today, give those difficult relationships and those situations to the Lord Jesus Christ and He will carry your burdens for you.

“…casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.

That challenge might even be in your very own house. It is very easy to be a Christian out there but back at the ranch it takes some doing, doesn’t it?

Nothing on this earth is more powerful than unconditional love. Now, if you and I forgive, then it stops. But if we say, “No, I want to have my own revenge” well, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth... Half the world would be walking around toothless and blind. We need to forgive and remember that it takes two to tango, it takes two to dance.

If you say, “I am not going to fight anymore. I am not going to repay evil with evil”, then it will stop. Get ready today for your miracle. It might be at work, it might be in school and it might even be in your own home. Jesus will do it for us.

Go out today and have a wonderful day and expect a miracle in your life.
God bless you and goodbye.
