Believing

And a very good morning to You. It is Tuesday morning the 1st of February, the year 2022. And this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day!

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

John 3:18

It's about one thing - believing. It has nothing to do with our effort or our good works but simply acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Son of God - nothing else.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Matthew 6:33

But we say we are not ready because we cannot get rid of this habit, that dirty habit or when we have dealt with some unforgiveness or hatred in our hearts... then we will come to Jesus. No, Jesus says to us today, "Come as you are, just as you are, with all your warts and all your pimples and your mistakes."

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Mathew 11:28

It is all about faith, which is the absolute opposite of fear, worry, anxiety and stress.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”

Philippians 4:6

We need to give it to Him by faith, you see, it is Jesus who heals, delivers and sets us free. All we have to do is let Him do it.

You know, I remember like yesterday before I became a Christian, walking down the farm road one day with one of my little girls. She was about three years old. She was happy and carefree, chatting non-stop as little girls do. She was picking wildflowers and I thought to myself as a fear cane over my heart, "If I die today, who would look after her? Who would be her daddy?"

Her little hand was going right around my little finger, holding on tight. Well, Jesus says to us today, "Simply believe in me, trust in me - I have got you." I did and He is... That little girl is now happily married to a godly man and has children of her own.

Simply believe today that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and you will be saved.

Have a wonderful day!
God bless you and goodbye.
