Fervent Love
If we look at the book of 1 Peter 1:22 it says
“Love one another fervently with a pure heart.”
We have to love one another because of the love that Christ has for us. Sometimes, we don’t know how to thank the Lord for what He has given us; He’s given us eternal life, forgiven us of all our sins, and given us a new opportunity as we face 2024 together.
How can we thank the Lord for His incredible, fervent love for us? Well, the answer is found in Matthew 25:40 where the Lord says
“In as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me,”
that is the reason why we started a children’s home many, many years ago here at Shalom Farm. We raised twenty-seven children right up to matric and further educated them so that they will have a good start in life. We did not do it for any personal gain; in fact, we did not even do it for the children; we did it for the Lord. It’s the way that we say thank you, Lord, for what He did for us, and by the way, I want to qualify something very important: we did not do it to try to earn a place in heaven. No, we can’t do that because we are saved by grace (undeserved loving kindness). No, we did it because the Lord said that in as much as we do it for the least of his brethren, we do it unto Him.
Jesus bless you
