Wait

This morning, I was sent this beautiful scripture verse from a dear son of mine in the Lord. It has been a very special scripture to me over many, many years. But the Bible is always fresh bread from Heaven, and it never ever lets us down. I was so encouraged to be able to read this verse again, which says Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) :

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Well, if there is one thing that farming has taught me, it is to wait. We have to wait for the crop to germinate, we have to wait for the crop to grow, we have to wait for the calf to be born and we have to wait for our money to come back from the bank. It is a joke, but I suppose there is a bit of truth in that one.

Most importantly, it is to spend time with Jesus, waiting to hear from God every single morning. That is what keeps us alert and that is what keeps us going.
