Mark 3:14
Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,
To be appointed by the Lord… I think every one of us that has given our lives to Christ and asked Him to be our Savior, has already been appointed. We have a responsibility. No, we can’t all be teachers, pastors, prophets, apostles and evangelists, but we can tell people about Christ.
I recall a minister I knew when I first became a Christian, I was saved in a mainline church and this minister used to wear a dog collar around his neck, he had a black suit and he was very smart. He said to me one day, Angus, the day I put this dog collar on, I lost 95% of my witness to my fellow man.
We don’t have to be an official pastor or preacher. The Lord chose ordinary working men, blue collared workers, as they call them today, tradesmen, to do his bidding for Him. Today, go out and tell people what Jesus means to you. Yes, we’ve said it before, one hungry beggar showing another hungry beggar where to find bread.
Jesus bless you
