The Journey
Luke 12:29
…nor have an anxious mind.
The Lord is telling you and I not to worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow has got enough worries of its own. We just need to be concerned for today. Do you remember that old country western song:
One day at a time, sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking of You
Give me the strength to do everyday
What I have to do
Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine
We just have to live for the day and we need to ask the Lord to give us just enough strength to do every day what we should do, and that takes the pressure right off us.
We wrote a little booklet, which we hand out at all our campaigns and events, called ‘Starting the Journey’. I think we must have handed out almost a million of them.
The journey is full of different aspects, there are mountains; there are valleys; there are flat places; there are peaceful places; there are hectic places, but at every junction we learn something new. Eventually, when we get home, by the grace of God, and only by His grace, we should be in a position to be able to stand before almighty God and hear Him say: “Well done, good and faithful servant, come and enter into thy rest”.
Jesus bless you
