Safe Place
We received a very touching email a few days ago from a dear lady who was obviously quite concerned about the future.
She said that a lot of folk were concerned about a story that was circulating around Cape Town about a tsunami that was going to hit the Western Cape. She said that a member of her family had already sold up and moved to Kimberley. What were our thoughts?
Well, the weapon that the devil is using now more than ever before is fear. However, 2 Timothy 1:7 says clearly, ββFor God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind.''
Our advice to that dear lady was quite simply to stay exactly where she was and not to move, unless she received a clear word from God through the Bible, and that word was confirmed by reputable men and women of God!
When traveling overseas I meet a number South Africans who would return home tomorrow if they could, but who have unfortunately burned their bridges and do not have the finances to come back home.
Remember, a good idea is not always a God idea. If the Lord has not spoken clearly to you about relocating, then do not move - stay right where you are. This also applies to every decision we make in life. Oh, and by the way - silence from Jesus is also an answer.
God Bless,
Angus and Jill
