A Choice

Faith is a choice, a decision - to believe the promises of God or to believe the lies of the devil!

Jesus said in the Gospel of Mark 9:23, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

In fact this very morning, while having my quiet time, I read in the Gospel of Luke 17:6, Jesus saying, “If you have faith as a mustard seed you can say to this mulberry tree, be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea, and it would obey you.”

What holds Jesus back from operating miracles in our lives? Quite simply by choosing not to believe, it actually ties the hands of God and becomes a great hindrance to God’s miracle-working power in our lives!

Of course the greatest test always, for our faith is not when everything is going well, it’s actually in times of crisis and testing, when everything appears to be going wrong! That is the time to implement God’s holy and faithful promises over our lives, His written Word.

Two days ago I was kicked quite severely by my horse, accidentally. He put me down and I have subsequently suffered some severe pain, especially in the area of my rib cage. But I have chosen to trust Jesus Christ to heal me physically, and have decided to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith is not a feeling, it is a fact. Jill, my wife, has prayed for me that Jesus will heal me completely and I have chosen to believe that I am healed!

God Bless,
