The In-between Times

Listening to a beautiful Christian song by Sandi Patty last night really touched my heart.

She was singing about the “In-between times", and how we handle the times in our lives where nothing is really happening. In other words, not the high points in our lives where everything is just so very exciting, nor the low points where we are fighting the good fight, so to speak!

But the dreary times in life when we have to continue with day to day living. That is where we need faith (Hebrews 11:6).

Remember when we read biographies of great and famous people, we only read about the exciting moments in their lives, and not the years of preparation they had to go through, their so called boring times, because that doesn't sell books. 

Jesus spent thirty years in the carpenter's shop before His ministry started! The “in-between times” are vital if we are going to be groomed for the work God has in store for us.

Don't despise small beginnings.
