The Written Word
“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.”
In the life story of Oswald Chambers: Abandoned to God,
he quoted a man of God saying: "Probably the most lasting of all preaching is with the pen."
Once again, the Holy Spirit has strongly impressed upon me to keep writing, (it is not a labour for me, as I truly enjoy writing), but all of us have a story to tell about how Jesus has influenced our lives in one way or another!
The big yellow truck appropriately named the 'Seed Sower', which we used for taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the uttermost parts of Africa, was filled with the written Word of God, in the form of Bibles and Christian literature.
We have vivid memories while driving that big yellow truck home weeks later, passing through the rural villages and seeing the local folk sitting under big shady trees, absorbed in reading the Bible or Christian books we had given out freely to them, after preaching the Gospel.
