Ambassadors
We see in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that you and I have been called by God to be His representatives here on Earth.
The Oxford Dictionary’s definition of an Ambassador is, “a diplomat sent by a state as its personal representative in a foreign country”.
Doesn’t that sum up so beautifully the role of the believer here on Earth.
You and I have a huge responsibility. We need to represent God fully, and correctly, not just on a Sunday morning in Church, or at a midweek Bible study, but in every single moment of our lives and especially in the market place of day to day living.
FB Meyer put it so accurately when he said, “being is doing“, meaning it’s Christian lifestyle that this confused old World is looking for, and not empty words!
In other words it’s not preaching on a Sunday morning that will show the World who Jesus is , it is living the life, walking the talk.
I saw it so beautifully executed yesterday at the ‘Eastern Cape Mighty Men’s Conference’, the love of Jesus amongst those thousands of ordinary people was tangible.
Thank God for the whosoevers, the Farmer, businessman, housewife, student, old age pensioner. It was in those precious souls that I saw the love of Almighty God manifest yesterday, the humility, and repentant hearts was like a fresh breeze of the Holy Spirit blowing over that huge field, when literally thousands of folk came forward to repent of their sin and make Jesus Christ Lord of their lives!
Let’s you and I go out today and be worthy Ambassadors for our beloved Jesus.
A dear beloved spiritual son who was also at the outdoor meeting sent me this precious scripture verse, Daniel 12:3:
God Bless you,
Angus and Jill Buchan.
