Exercise our Faith
While reading the Word of God early this morning there is one thing the Holy Spirit impressed upon me, and that is that the Lord Jesus didn’t get angry very often. But we read the account of what took place in the Temple, when they were making His Father’s house into a business centre and He made a whip, if you remember, and cleared out all the hawkers and those that were selling and doing business in the Temple.
The next time we see that He was very angry, was when the disciples could not cast out the demon from the young boy. He says in Mark 9:19 (NKJV), “He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me,” and of course then he cast out the demon.
So the time that He got very angry with His disciples and obviously the crowd, was when He saw how little faith they had. One of my favourite scriptures in the Bible is just a little bit further along in Mark 9:23 (NKJV), “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
We really need to exercise our faith in these troubled times in which we are living. Not faith in faith, but rather faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. So this week, concentrate on the things of God and that will increase your faith to believe for a miracle in your life.
Jesus bless you
