My Defence

Early this morning while praying and reading my Bible, I felt the Lord encourage me with this verse, which I want to in turn encourage you with.

To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defence, My God of mercy.
Psalm 59:17

When we see nations building up their arsenals of defence and armaments it is quite concerning, isn’t it? But we know that for us who love Jesus, at the end of the day it is God who will defend us. Not man, not governments, not any army but the Lord Himself. Our biggest defence is needed in our minds.

2 Corinthians 10:4 says for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

The battle is not in the flesh but it is in the spirit. The Lord has promised us that He is our defence. I want to encourage you to spend more time reading your Bible and spend less time listening to the news, which is often untrue, totally exaggerated and causes one to go into a tailspin of fear and anxiety. We need to remember that the Lord will defend us and the best way to do that is by spending time early in the morning in prayer and in reading the Word, The Good News.
