Keep On
When I wrote this message, I was sitting in a hotel room in the beautiful country of Namibia, getting ready to catch my plane to fly back home to my dear family in South Africa.
Again, I was very aware of the fact that as believers we need to embrace whatever comes our way from the Lord. We think of our beloved apostle Paul and what him and the disciples went through in their service towards the Lord Jesus Christ, we read from 2 Corinthians 6:3- 10 (NKJV):
We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fasting’s; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
What a beautiful scripture, it sums up exactly what we need to be doing as believers, whether in comfort or whether in distress, hardship or loneliness, we need to press on. It’s a tremendous honour and a privilege to be an ambassador for Christ.
Today as you go about your work, remember people are watching you and they are watching your every move, your behaviour and your attitude. So do it with the love of Christ and the Holy Spirit will reward you amply and protect you and give you the desire of your heart.
Jesus bless you
