Do the Right Thing

Many people ask me, "What does the Lord Jesus actually require from us?" First of all, He requires that we do the right thing. If we look at Genesis 18:19, it says:

For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord...

That is what God requires of us - to keep His way. Especially now when things are so uncertain, and there are so many different opinions about different ways of life. We must get back to the basics and do the right thing. Isaiah 1:17:

Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.

That is what we need to do. Keep it simple and obey - do exactly what Jesus requires of us, then we will have a life of peace and a life of purpose.
