Dying to Live
Dying to live must be the greatest of all paradoxes. In order to live we must die, it doesn’t make sense does it? But it’s so true. Many years ago, we had a Mighty Men Conference on the farm, and that was the theme of the conference “Dying to Live”.
If we look at Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) 20, it says:
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
We will see that Paul started to live only when he surrendered everything he had into the hands of Jesus. It was only when Jacob stopped wrestling with God and God displaced his hip, and he was a broken weak man, that God changed his name from Jacob the dissenter, the deceiver, the liar to Israel – the father of a nation. It’s in dying that we live.
My biggest enemy is not the devil, it is Angus Buchan. The same thing applies to every one of us. If we can put our own personal agenda aside and start working with God’s agenda, then we will know true peace and victory and the power of God will manifest in our lives.
I want to encourage you today to put the old man down, to put the flesh down and start to live for Christ and it will literally change your life forever.
Jesus bless you
Angus & Jill Buchan
