Count Your Blessings

Isaiah 58 

The Word of God tells us clearly, in the book of 1 Samuel 12:24:

Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.

I have never been a person to live in the past, but sometimes it is good for us to look back and see how God has provided all our needs right from the beginning of our lives.  We need to retrace our steps, and then we need to thank Him for all the things He did for us when we were not even aware of it.  Some of us were not even Christians when He was protecting us and helping us from not making terrible decisions that we would regret for the rest of our lives.

We need to thank Jesus for everything, literally for the breath that we breathe every day, and for helping us when we have really been struggling and He lifted us up, put us back on our feet, and gave us new opportunities.

Today, let’s take time to sit quietly and count our blessings, and thank our Lord, for He is indeed a Mighty God.
