Humble Yourself

If we read in 1 Peter 5:5 the Lord says:

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

When we are walking in humility, we have the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ upon our lives. And for that reason only, it is good to work at living a life of humility, simply because God says He will give favour to that man. James 4:6.

The Lord also says, in the book of Job 22:29 “Jesus will save the humble person”. If you want anybody in your corner, the best person to have is none other than the Son of God.  Now remember, He says He will save the humble person, which means if we are not humble, He will resist us, He will have nothing to do with us, we will be on our own.  Now, we really need to be mature, and we need to man up, as they say, and realise that we can’t do it our way anymore, because it doesn’t work.  We need to do it God’s way. The Bible says that God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.
