God’s Certainty

One of my favourite scriptures in the Bible is found in the Gospel of Mark (Mark 13:31 (NKJV)

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

In these days in which we are living, where nothing is certain anymore, even the very weather itself is so unpredictable, and with so many threats going around about disease and politics, people are extremely unsettled. Now the Lord tells us that even heaven and earth will pass away. He says, “but My words will never pass away.” The Lord puts His Word above His Name. That is why I particularly love the Word of God so much, the Bible. I have many Bibles in my prayer room from different versions and even different languages and I just love Bibles. If I go to a bookshop, I will always go to the area where all the Bibles are kept and look through these beautiful books and the different translations. I personally prefer the New King James version which is the King James version without the “Thee’s” and the “Thou’s”, although I also love the King James Version as well.

As a new Christian when I started memorising scripture, I would always memorise scripture in the King James version, and to this day, those scriptures are indelibly printed in my mind.

Try to memorise scripture and spend time each morning in the Word of God before you face the challenges of the day and you will find that your foundation will be strong and you will make quality decisions and your day will go so much better. Put Jesus first and then all these other things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 (NKJVV) says:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

The last thing you do before you go to bed at night is you read the Word and wash yourself in the Word of God so that when you go to sleep, you will dream and rest in the knowledge of the written Word of God.

 Have a wonderful week.

Jesus bless you
