The Heart of God

If we go the book of 1 Chronicles 28.9 (NKJV) …

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” 

This was the word that the Lord gave to Solomon and we really need it in these days of this Covid pandemic. Everything is so unsettled in the world, we really need to find the heart of God and follow Him intensely.

We cannot take chances, if we have done something wrong, we need to say sorry.  

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1.9 (NKJV)

We cannot carry unconfessed sins in our lives, it is too heavy to carry, we have enough burdens as it is.  The Lord is looking for a loyal heart and a willing mind.  Loyalty rates very highly in my life and even more so, I know, in the Lord’s life.  Betrayal is a terrible thing and sometimes to deny and to do the opposite of what God’s called us to do, can lead to disaster in our lives. Just do what He tells you to do.

Remember the waiters came to Jesus’ mother Mary and asked: “what must we do?”, and she told them to just do what He tells you to do.  So they filled the vats with water. Jesus prayed over those vats and they turned into the finest wine at the wedding of Canaan.  Please just do what Jesus tells you to do and He will see to the rest.  It is not a time to be double minded or to double guess, we need to be loyal and we need to have a heart that is open for the Lord, so that God can direct us.  He says again “If you seek Him, He will be found by you,”  but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.  

This week, seek the will of God, do it and you will be surprised how well things start going for you.
