The Spirit Of God Frees Us

It is Tuesday 10th November 2020, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day.

If we go to the Book of Galatians Chapter 5 and verse 18:

“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”

No longer dominated by the law.

Romans Chapter 8 verse 1:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”

You can soar like that majestic eagle above all the trials and tribulations of this world.

When you are led by the Spirit of God you are truly free, motivated by the Holy Spirit - no more fear of what man can do to you.

You don’t have to perform. No more pressure from society.

That is a word especially for the ladies - free from self. Self-interest dies!

When you are led by the Holy Spirit, you are a free spirit indeed, no more erratic, law dominated existence, being governed by the news.

What happens in the news? One day you are up and one day you are down, it depends which party got into power.

When you are walking in the Spirit, you are exempt from those things, but rather being led by the Holy Ghost.

And what is the fruit of the Spirit?

Well, we know it well don’t we?

Galatians Chapter 5 and verse 22: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

These are the fruits of the Spirit.

You know, I just want to tell you a little story.

We have got a bull. He is an Aberdeen Angus Bull. He must weigh over a ton, and he is held back from going into a field of knee-high lush grass, by a single strand of electric wire, powered by a small battery.

A little trickle of an electric current passes through that piece of wire, even a small child would not be harmed by it, and yet that one ton bull - all he needs to do is to walk straight through it and he is into a beautiful paddock of lush grass, but he is intimidated by a lie. That lie comes from the devil.

The law binds us but the Spirit of God frees us.

Walk in The Spirit today.
