Keep On Walking The Talk
If we look at the Word of God in 1 Thessalonians, Chapter 2 and verse 12 in the New King James Version, this is what it says:
“…that you would walk worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory”
The Amplified version says: “ Live life worthy of God”.
We have got to walk the talk as they say.
You and I must be a good example and blameless in everything we say and do and especially the way we walk.
You know, wherever Jesus went, people flocked after Him.
You ask the question, why?
Well, because He spoke life and not death.
John Chapter 10 verse 10 says, “The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy”
But Jesus came to give us life abundantly and that is why I love Him so much.
Jesus knew where He was walking. He was on a journey. He had a mission to perform. He was not walking around in circles. He was not wasting time. He had a destination and that was Heaven and He wants you and me to do the same.
I heard such a sad story many years ago, of a young girl, a university student who came from a good Christian home.
She had been brought up as Christian and yet she came home one day and told her mom and dad that she was going to marry a communist.
Her mom and dad were shattered. “How can you say that? A communist doesn’t believe that there is a God.”
And do you know what she said?
She said, “Dad, Mom, I have met a man for the first time in my life who really believes in what he is saying. He really believes what he is doing”.
We need to believe and we need to walk the talk.
People don’t follow what we are just saying.
It is our lifestyle that changes people forever.
So today, whatever you are doing, whatever you are saying, whatever you are living, make it bring glory to the Name of Jesus Christ.
