Do You Feel Like You Are Perishing?

Do you feel like you are perishing?

Well, if we read in Matthew, Chapter 8, that is exactly how the disciples felt. Matthew Chapter 8 verse 25 says:

“Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”

You know, Psalm 30 verse 5 says:

“Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Is there a storm going on in your life at the moment?

Do you feel like you are sinking?

Well, do not be afraid. You will not drown because The Lord is in control.

You know, we have just been through a horrific time, here in our area. The land is just so tinder-box dry. We have had no rain and everywhere it is like an absolute drought situation.

And then there are the gale-force winds that have been blowing and after that, the forest fires have started.

We have heard the water bombers - those airplanes flying over the farm, going to different forest areas where the land has literally been burning up.

It felt like a World War 2 movie.

But then, early this morning, I woke up and I went across to my prayer room and the first thing I always do, I look up to the sky. I saw no stars today, just beautiful clouds - no stars, no wind, no noise, only peace - a great calm.

He will not desert you, my dear friend. He will not desert us. Why? Because He is in the boat with us.
