Simplicity

Matthew Chapter 6 and verses 25 and 26 say:
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

We need to concentrate on the simple life. Simplicity!
We are too complicated, many of us.

Simplicity means the quality or condition of being simple.

Mark 8:36: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”

I don’t know if you remember a very, very famous billionaire.
His name was Howard Hughes. He was a manufacturer of aircraft and missiles.
He was only second to the United States Government in his business and yet he died as a recluse, all by himself and he died basically, of malnutrition.

You and I need to downscale. We need to get our priorities back in order.

Matthew Chapter 6 verse 33:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to (us).”

We need to invest our time in those things which have eternal value: friendships, relationships with our loved ones.

We need to get to know Jesus because you and I are going to spend eternity with Him.
John Chapter10 verse 4 says “My sheep hear my voice and follow”.

In the Middle East, the shepherds lead their sheep. In the West, we tend to chase our sheep with sheepdogs, but in the Middle East, the shepherd calls his sheep. They hear his voice and they follow after him.

Let’s simplify our lives today and get our priorities back in order.
