Moving Forward
And then just one other, one of my favourite scriptures:
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
Galatians 6:9-10
How are you feeling this morning? Do you feel like giving up?
Please, don’t even go there - Keep on keeping on.
You know, Kathryn Kuhlman was used by The Lord in an incredibly powerful healing ministry but she used to say, “If you are not feeling too well today, find somebody who is worse off than you are, and pray for them, and you won’t feel so bad afterwards".
Remember, our worst enemy is ourselves, my worst enemy is Angus Buchan - There is no doubt about it. We really need to focus on the finish line. The Lord is not interested in good starters, we have to complete the journey.
If you watch a horse trainer, he is firm but he is patient and he perseveres. My young son is a very good starter of green horses and it takes time. You can’t do it five minutes a day and maybe once a week, it has to be continual. Oft times the most spirited, awkward horse has got the most potential and if you can spend time with him, he will become your best horse. You see, here at Shalom we don’t believe in breaking in a horse. We believe in joining up with a horse and that takes a lot of time, a lot of perseverance and a lot of patience.
I want to say to you today at the start of this week, let’s finish this race strong and let’s finish it victoriously. Don’t allow the lies of the devil to put you down, don’t give up. We are closer to home than you think.
Keep looking up.
Remember, I am a cloud-watcher. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, but in the meantime, you and I will continue to keep going forward.
God bless you and have a lovely day.
