Weeds
“He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares (that’s the weeds) are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.”
My dear friend, we are not to be concerned about the injustice and the apparent chaotic state of the world at the moment. The weeds, the tares that Jesus has promised us at the end of time, which I believe is very near, He will deal with - those who are lawless and those who are wicked.
You and I need to concentrate on those who are serving God and spend our time and our effort with them. To pray rather and to leave the wicked in the hands of a righteous, just and Holy God.
On the great day of reckoning every single one of us, you and me, is going to give an account to God for our lifestyle here on earth. That is why we need to pray for our enemies and hope that they will repent before it is too late. You know, if we look at Joel 2:11, the Bible says:
“For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; Who can endure it?”
Romans 12:19 the Lord says: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.” We serve a Holy God and no-one will go unpunished. Do not concern yourself about those who are blatantly going against the principles of the Bible.
You know I remember, like it was yesterday, having that prayer meeting down in Cape Town for rain. Do you remember?
At Mitchells Plain, probably one of the most dangerous places on the Continent of Africa. And yet there was a testimony of two cell phone thieves who decided they were going to have a heyday because there were between 250 - 300,000 people on the dunes, praying to the Lord for repentance and for the rain to come.
And as they walked onto that field they said - it was their own testimony - that their feet started burning and they ran off the field. They tried to come back a second time, they said their feet were burning like they were working on coals of fire. They ran off that field again and then they realized that they were in the presence of Almighty God. They broke down and wept and they repented and then they joined the meeting.
The Lord will be the ultimate Judge. You and I need to concentrate on walking holy and righteous lives.
Have a wonderful day,
Jesus is with you - You have nothing to fear!
