Kusasa

“Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” Luke 14:5

No one likes going to church more than me - I really mean that. I love going to church but there are priorities. Now, the Oxford Dictionary says a priority is a thing regarded as more important than others and that is why it is so very important to always ask yourself a simple question.

What would Jesus do? And then take that option. The main thing is to make sure that the main thing remains the main thing. That is something I read in a book just a short while ago. Make that phone call, make that visit, write that letter, write that email, send off that app! Do not procrastinate - that means to delay or to postpone action.

If you leave the ox in the pit until after church on Sunday, he will be dead. You know in Zulu we have a word, “Kusasa.”

Kusasa, uma iNkosi izovuma: Tomorrow, if the Lord wills...

But you know something, tomorrow might never come. Today might be the most important day in your life. If you don’t visit that old person they might not be there tomorrow and that might be a very sad regret. We really need to get our priorities into order. So what do we do? Well, we take the ox out of the pit and then we go to church.

Have a wonderful day today as you sit and meditate on what the Lord wants you to do with your life.
God bless you and goodbye.
